The following excerpts come from RTE (National Broadcaster) Article dated December 1st 2012:
"The Constitutional Convention which will consider at least eight possible amendments has held its inaugural meeting."
"Taoiseach Enda Kenny promised that a referendum decision will be given on each recommendation."
"Many of the 66 ordinary citizens drawn from the electoral register who are part of the convention attended the meeting in Dublin Castle."

Personally, I would like to see consideration given to the possibility of adding a Constitutional Amendment regarding the United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights, which indirectly involves the large amount of national and international legislation that has been based on the UDHR set of principles since 1948.
In addition, I would like to see a Constitutional Amendment added in connection with the international United Nations Aarhus Convention Agreement: which, as some readers will already know, is basically an international human rights agreement that specifically governs "local community" environmental issues: such as the Rossport (Shell To Sea) situation, for example.
At the present time there is no mention at all of these two EXTREMELY important human rights subjects in Bunreacht na hEireann (meaning "Fundamental Law of the Republic of Ireland" in the Celtic language).
If there was, our Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) would most certainly not be able to get away so very easily with subjecting me -- and others in similar situations to me -- to their ONGOING criminal abuse (which includes mental torture) regarding my failed efforts to stop their treasonously criminal unconstitutional legislation such as that of the kind referred to in the An Bord Pleanala Appeal (dated February 21st 2004) at the following www address:

One of the pretexts (i.e. sly, extremely shoddy, fictitious, and false excuses) the grossly corrupt Republic of Ireland Judicial Branch of Government -- and the grossly corrupt legal profession they head -- gives for criminally ignoring UDHR human rights law (as and when it suits them), and with impunity, is that "the Republic of Ireland Constitution (Bunreacht na hEireann) is silent on the matter of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights".
So it is, at the present time: but it does not have to stay that way for ever, does it?
Left to themselves though, I'm convinced the "ruling elites" will make sure they hold on to their present position: which enables them to criminally abuse anybody who seriously challenges them -- with 100% impunity -- regarding their criminal unconstitutional activities.
In a more general sort of way, it is my belief that if amendments were made to Bunreacht na hEireann (the Constitution and SUPREME law of the Republic of Ireland) to include direct mention of 1) The United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and 2) The United Nations Aarhus Convention Agreement, then the citizens of the Republic of Ireland (present and future) could, reasonably easily, ensure that they get, and maintain, a Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) which serves the PEOPLE of the Republic of Ireland, as opposed to the kind of Government we now have: which is a "puppet government" that serves their "puppet masters" ONLY: morning, noon, and night; i.e. the MONEY POWER PSYCHOPATHS who control and run the corruption-ridden and crime-ridden Global Banking Cartel, and the quadrillions of Euros of "derivatives gambling debts" (see at http:// tinyurl.com /c76sgox ) they have stacked up in order to saddle the whole of humanity (overall) with "debt slavery" and "austerity" (poverty), thanks to their ability to fraudulently create mountains of money from nowhere out of nothing, and charge interest on it by "lending" their fictitious "computer-keyboard money" to the stupid and/or corrupt governments around the world who continue to do business with them.

Galway HSE Hospital Consultant Refuses to Provide Correct Treatment For C-PTSD Injuries ...
"I am particularly concerned about the way Galway HSE Hospital Consultant Dr Anne Jeffers (and medical doctor and Republic of Ireland Health Minister Dr James Reilly TD ) continue to criminally refuse (with impunity) to provide me with the correct medical treatment for the C-PTSD (Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) injuries I am at present suffering from; and, allowing for the fact that her refusal to provide me with the correct treatment has long since appeared to me to be politically motivated, in a manner connected with the group of people I have referred to below as the "Money Power Psychopaths" (and the "puppet governments" they control), for years now I have believed that my rights under Article 5 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights are being violated in very major and extremely serious ways which involve mental torture : where the mental torture in question has already been sustained for many years by the unrelenting failure of all three of the hospital consultants I have so far sought help from, to provide me with the correct medical treatment I need in order to recover from the C-PTSD injuries I continue to suffer from."
