Thoughts on the election tomorrow:
This is it, the day before the selection of who represents the duopoly arrives.
If you've noticed, I've primarily kept direct candidate coverage off the top headlines, because all this time there's a lot of other important stuff going on-- like vote theft, election rigging, a really important Proposition 37 in California.
I know our readers want Obama to win. Choosing between the two, so do I. But I am also hoping that the two progressive candidates will score big in the solid red and blue states.
Then there are the other races, almost all being fought between more corporatist duopolists. Again, the Democrats are a bit better, though it is highly unrealistic to expect much progress, let alone progressive change from them. But they may slow the slide into corporatist fascism.  Still, in interview after interview I've done lately,  thought leaders like Cindy Sheehan, Chris Hedges, Lawrence Wilkerson and others have all said that we need to take action outside of the electoral system to make real change happen.
So watch the theatrics tomorrow. But on the next day, start getting back to activism, because the elections will change very little, even Obama holds the White House and Democrats hold the senate.
I AM hoping to see wins by Sherrod Brown and Elizabeth Warren.
So... what's your take?

more detailed bio:

Rob Kall has spent his adult life as an awakener and empowerer-- first in the field of biofeedback, inventing products, developing software and a music recording label, MuPsych, within the company he founded in 1978-- Futurehealth, and founding, organizing and running 3 conferences: Winter Brain, on Neurofeedback and consciousness, Optimal Functioning and Positive Psychology (a pioneer in the field of Positive Psychology, first presenting workshops on it in 1985) and Storycon Summit Meeting on the Art Science and Application of Story-- each the first of their kind. Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big) to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, (more...)
