Recently, I published an introduction and conclusion to an article on an important topic. The article looked at three political economic theories on the role of the military industrial complex on USA metropolises. I was happy to see such an article and note that this issue is becoming mainstream. I have been concerned with it for decades--as have many Americans. Yet, when I was working on my doctorate in political sciences at Texas A & M (that is Bush Country) 13 years ago, I had one professor deny the existence of any influential force behind American development. I had immediately shown the professor a book entitled,THE RISE OF THE GUNBELT. However, he would not be swayed--and the topic of the fatal flaw of military-industrial intransigence in post-World War II America has been under-emphasized in the media--and in our children's education.
Yesterday, I also published a very current piece by Naomi Wolf in the Guardian on J oint Special Operations Command (JSoc), a network of highly-trained, completely unaccountable US assassins . This article is fairly related to this black hole, which Eisenhower had entitled America's MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. The people behind this blackhole force of American fascism is revealed in the new documentary DIRTY WARS.
DIRTY WARS AND AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT POST-WWII
YEARS AGO Wolf concluded an article ON THE SIGNS OF THE RISING AMERICAN FASCIST KABAL.
She explains today, however. "I saw the symptoms but [until recently] not the cause." Now she claims in this recent piece that "the prime movers at work" are obvious. Namely that "[t]he US executive now has a network of secret laws, secret budgets, secret kill lists, and a well-funded, globally deployed army of secret teams of assassins. That is precisely the driving force working behind what we can see. Is fascism really too strong a word to describe it?"
Wolf claims that a recent new film by Scahill and Rowley has "uncovered the facts of a new unaccountable power in America and the world that has the potential to shape domestic and international events in an unprecedented way." This force is the force behind the Joint Special Operations Command (JSoc), a network of highly-trained, completely unaccountable US assassins, armed with ever-expanding "kill lists"."
In summary, in to this unaccountability for the militarist-dependent industries, Naomi Wolf's original piece would apply equally to the Obama administration as it did to the Bush period of American history.
