Once again, HAW (Historians Against War) are putting out a good list of readings [BELOW] on a variety of current topics that all Peace-loving Americans need to ask their government and friends to help deal with. For example, in terms of USA foreign policy and wasted trillions of warchest dollars, the OP-ED below by Andrew Bacevich hits the mark. Moreover, a more academic look at the false paradigm or false choice of "stability vs. democracy" is covered well by Ira Chernus. Read and Pass on the material, please. -- KAS

This list is sent with an apology: as will be clear from the date of the most recent article, the list should have gone out a week ago, but for various reasons it didn't. These still seem like good articles, so I'm sending the list now. Thanks to Rusti Eisenberg and Miriam Jackson for making suggestions of articles to include. Jim O'Brien
