Famous Italian director Renzo Martinelli has been denied by 2 Turkish players who he offered roles at "September 11, 1683' film. Director Martinelli makes relation between September 11- 2001 (Al Qaida attacks to twin towers) and Vienna blockade of Ottoman Empire (1683)
Turkish actors Halil Ergà �n and Ahmet Mà �mtaz Taylan deny Martinelli's role offering because he skews the historical realities with that film. Do you (Americans) have any idea about relations between Vienna blockade of Ottoman and September 11? No, because there isn't any relation. Nobody who lives in USA knows this blockade. Because it has been realized about 400 years ago and it has been realized at Europe. But all European citizens know this blockade. Capital of Austria (Today) Vienna has been blockaded by Ottoman sultans many times but it hasn't been conquered by Turkish sultans anytime. They could go to as far as Italia but Austria and around hasn't been added to Ottoman lands. Blockade of Vienna is a state movement. Every state had blockaded some cities, castles at history; Rome Empire, Russians and Brittan etc.
September 11 is a terrorist attack. But director Martinelli wants to do emotional exploitation to USA citizens and he wants to take much more watchers to his stupid film ("September 11, 1683'). Any USA citizen know blockade of Vienna but if Martinelli adds to "September 11' to film's name, many US citizens runs to halls. Ha ha ha! Good idea! I think he is minding that to make relation with Ottoman Empire and Al Qaida. This is awful!
I believe that history must be written again but truly for peace of people. But this ugly director skews the history for new hates between people. If he can make that film lots of Americans will doubt about history. If he would make a film on some Armenian claims at Anatolia (1915) I wouldn't argue against this, because that term is a big darkness. But, Vienna blockade at 1983 and September 11, 2001 are known well with every dimension. Director Martinelli really strives on an awful work.
