Poll Bigger is Better A "mega-church" is defined as any church with 4,500 or more persons in regular weekly attendance. This trend started back in the 70's with Willow Creek church in Chicago. Today we have Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church in Texas, Rick Warren and Saddleback church in California, just to name a few. But is this trend a good thing? Is it biblical? Is it "Christian?" Mega churches inhibit the personal relationship interaction of true Christian community.Mega churches, as a rule, tend to be man-centered and unbiblical."Church" is for feeding sheep, not amusing goats. (Charles Spurgeon).Making unbelievers comfortable in church is not the goal of ChristiansTrue Christianity thrives in smaller, community oriented churches. If they bring people to Christ, they are obviously doing something right. 0 votes View Results and Comments Invite Your Friend(s) to Vote: Share This Poll You can publish this poll on your blog or website.
