Ninety-five percent of sugar beets, 93 percent of soybeans, and 88 percent of corn grown in the U.S. are genetically engineered.

But that's nothing. More than 30 others are currently being tested in field trials, including (but not limited to) apples, barley, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cherries, chili peppers, coffee, olives, onions, peanuts, tomatoes, and walnuts.
