We need to learn from these mistakes, and Shell's recent grounding of its drill rig on Sitkalidak Island is the last straw. I urge you to avoid a disaster by preventing Shell from drilling in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas this year.The future citizens will remember your presidency in ways that will make you a complicit villain, once the Arctic is ruined. They will know how the vast money from the oil plutocrats and corrupt kings influenced your decisions, and how you put placating the monied barons ahead of the health of our natural world.
