Charter Schools Not Performing Better Than Traditional in Detroit, Florida, Georgia

"Education is not a damn marketplace and  they are not,  improving public schools through "competition." "No matter how noble the original motives, public school "reform" as pursued by private interests in general, and by plutocratic dilettantes in particular, has been an abject failure and an almost limitless vista of low-rent scams and high-tech brigandage."  The evidence is here: in The New York Times - the ragged remnants of the Detroit public schools handed over to the charter-industrial complex which crashed and burned. A  new report out of Georgia found that the students in that state's charter schools performed pretty much the same way as did children in the state's regular public schools. 3-Florida, things are not going much better says The Florida Times-Union.4-  the state legislatures are taking over the local schools, with nary an educator on board.
