Montanans Deserve More Than Energy-Hog Street Lights

Montana's Public Service Commission is asked to order NorthWestern Energy, an electric utility, to begin installation of energy-efficient LED street lights by July or face a 50% reduction in the energy component of its street-lighting rate. That will give consumers the energy rate they would otherwise be paying if LEDs had been installed in a timely fashion. It will reduce many municipal budgets by up to 25%.
