Without a question or doubt, Northern Georgia is a beautiful place to live. Being a Liberal/Progressive writer, I moved from one red state to another, and while some people don't appreciate my writing, the clean air and the general friendliness of the people make it worthwhile. There is such a thing as "Southern Hospitality", and where I live, it's alive and well. Georgia has friendly people, and as long as I don't discuss politics, everything is fine.
On the other hand, politics in the State of Georgia can be strange - and after reading one of Raw Story's lead headlines this morning, I'm compelled to stand-up for my fellow Georgian's and make a few things clear. No, "When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is (not) a mule!" Obviously, this statement does not apply to all of Georgia's young men who grew up on a farm, and even to suggest that bestiality is common-place in Georgia is an insult to thousands that participate in small-town Georgia, where farming and community based projects are a way of life. I don't believe that those who choose to have sex with animals is any more prevalent than in other farming communities - and to suggest otherwise is a feeble attempt to justify one's personal behavior that "aberrant" only begins to explain...

Candidate for Georgia governorship says he'd kill his own son to secede
By John Byrne
A longshot Georgia candidate for governor who's already admitted having sex with a mule before finding God says he's ready to sacrifice his own son in an effort to get his state to secede from the union.
Neal Horsley made national headlines when he posted the names, phone numbers and addresses of abortion doctors online. His "Nuremberg Files" website also crossed off the names of doctors as they were killed.
Now he's ready to make new news. In an interview by Dylan Otto Krider published late Wednesday, he indicated he'd kill his own son to dissolve the United States (in an effort to overturn Roe v. Wade).
Asked again if he was willing to sacrifice his son, he was even more explicit, telling the interview to read the Bible's Matthew 10.
"When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule," he said, adding, "You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually." MUST READ ARTICLE!
In the title, there wasn't room to reveal the depth of Mr. Horsley's radical views, and is evidence that the term "radical" is an understatement when attempting to describe Mr. Horsley. His published "Nuremberg Files" website not only lists the name and addresses of physicians who perform abortions but makes it a point to cross-off the ones who have died or been murdered (sic). I visited a site that delves into Mr. Horsley's views - but it might not be his "Nuremberg Site." I have to wonder if Veterinarians who also perform abortions on animals are listed - especially those that dare to perform such heinous acts on his childhood "friends."
Now Mr. Horsley is claiming that he would "kill his own son to dissolve the United States (in an effort to overturn Roe v. Wade)." I've lived in Georgia on and off since 1995, and I assure you, Mr. Horsley's views are not representative of the majority of the Georgia people - most who are kind and abhor Mr. Horsley's belief that all abortion Doctor's should be killed. Someone should warn his son that he needs to purchase a firearm in case Mr. Horsley decides to make good on his promises to "sacrifice" his son.
Besides, if Neal Horsley did have a chance at being Governor, think of the changes that would have to be made at the Governor's Mansion; I foresee adding a stable, and God forbid, how would Georgian's react to a "First Mule" instead of a First Lady? One thing is certain; stating that he had "sex with a mule" and rationalizing that most of Georgia's farm raised young men have tried bestiality deserves an apology to those he threw in the same reality he exists in - and he might consider apologizing to the mule as well!
