Consider Writing a Letter to the Editor After the Event. After attending the town hall, write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper about what you learned and why you support health insurance reform. Mention bullies who donĂ ‚¬ „ t want solutions if appropriate.Ă‚

Suggested Questions:

  • TELL YOUR STORY! And ask how reform will help improve your life.
  • What is the biggest lie youĂ ‚¬ „ ve heard about what healthcare reform will do for me and my neighbors and what should we know about what reform will actually do?
  • What happens if Congress doesnĂ ‚¬ „ t pass healthcare reform this year?
  • How will a Ă ‚¬Ĺ"health insurance gatewayĂ ‚¬ ť or Ă ‚¬Ĺ"exchangeĂ ‚¬ ť help someone struggling to understand different health insurance options?
  • How will reform help Medicare become more stable for our seniors?
  • Do you think Members of Congress who vote against a public health insurance option should give up the health insurance tax payers provide to them?
  • My health insurance company denied an exam/procedure/test I needed. What is in the legislation to prevent corporations from rationing care?
  • Last year I spent $X,XXX out of pocket for healthcare. How will the legislation guarantee hard working people like me wonĂ ‚¬ „ t end up in bankruptcy because of a medical emergency?
  • I had to declare bankruptcy/file for foreclosure because of medical bills. How will the legislation help people who face losing their home/bankruptcy from medical debt?
