Pastor Robert Jeffress (who called Mormonism a "cult") said that he expects Obama to impose hate speech laws that could be used to imprison pastors and will try to give the government the right to select a church's pastors and priests.
What The World Needs Now Is Love, Sweet Love
But
at least half of America won't get any of that from the likes of NOM (National
Organization for Marriage), Family Research Council, American Family
Association, the Southern Baptist Convention, Concerned Women for America,
Christian Broadcasting Network, Trinity Broadcasting Network, FOX News, Mission
America, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Gen. Boykin, Pat Buchanan, Rupert Murdoch,
Chuck Norris, Sean Hannity, Mike Huckabee, Franklin Graham, Ann Coultergeist,
Janet Mefferd, Cindy Japan-is-shaped-like-a-dragon Jacobs, "Bishop"
Harry Jackson, the Koch Brothers, the Tea Party, the Republican Party and
everyone who clings to their "guns and Bibles." Because for them, the
Culture War is not over, not by a long shot.
The
election may have been a battle lost, but it wasn't Waterloo. There won't be
any "time for reflection." And as we watch the wounded animals of the
Right howl with horror, we must not forget that they are not without fangs:
fear-mongering and demonizing can result in casualties.
The
Glen Becks, Ted Nugents and Bryan Fischers will see to it. They will renew
their vow to destroy Barack Obama and all liberal "agendas". They
will attempt to roll back time, back to the 50s, the 14th century, or any time
when "faith" and greed reigned, when reason and compassion were
nonexistent, when humanity was on the run from righteous indignation.
*Ironically, it was Zaire that helped cause an almost felonious
scandal for Pat: From approximately August 1994 through
September 1995, the "Operation Blessing " cargo planes actually
carried on behalf of the African Development Company. Pat Robertson, as the
sole owner, had chartered that company in Bermuda in July J 992. It suspended
operations in October 1995. Before then, chief pilot Hinkle had quit in disgust
at Robertson's fraud and deception.
