Christmas, however, would not be Christmas if it weren’t for the movies and music that I enjoy each and every year.
The Christmas I celebrate is not based in religion at all. It’s filled with love, happiness, and cheer of the kind that Scrooge is turned on by at the end of A Christmas Carol. Thankfully, the feeling of love, happiness, and cheer does not come just once a year but it is magnified greatly on Christmas.
This year especially as we all look to the future with uneasiness in our heart wondering what Democratic Frostmeisers and Republican Heatmeisers will do next it is important to take time out of our working lives to enjoy physical aspects of life that are becoming conquered by virtual reality more and more each day.
In the warmth of our homes---if you still have your home---take a little time to think about being alive and why you appreciate Christmas. If you don’t know why you celebrate, chances are you haven’t a good reason at all and should consider saving your money next year by skipping the holiday altogether.
***Now that is out of the way, look for a future article on movies and music that I love. As a movie and music geek, I promise to not just discuss the traditional Christmas favorites.
Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and more! How about this one? Happy Xmas---War is Over If You Want it---I’ve always been moved by that salutation.***
