These candidates may be excellent future presidential prospects, especially Rocky Anderson, but there is no power, no drive, no effective organization behind any one of them; and that is exactly the problem. Alternative candidates have a probability of zero to none of making a dent in any presidential election; their efforts will represent no more than an exercise in futility unless they are backed by a powerful, grass roots third party movement.
This power of which I speak is unlimited, it is there waiting to be tapped. As Thomas Jefferson wisely stated, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." The American people, if properly motivated by bold, fearless leaders with a clear, believable message, will respond. And respond they must, because if we do not see a movement created that will bring intense, relentless pressure on this government, then the rapidly escalating deterioration that are witnessing will become permanent and irreversible.
That is what can be done, that is what must be done. All we need is for those Americans who have the skills and the talents to step forward and assume the leadership roles to make it happen. If and when that power is activated and energized it will be unstoppable.
