It may take
a while for this to sink in but when it does, you quickly see that money, a
product of a system based on someone going into debt, is the obstacle retarding
all progress and doesn't allow for even the smidge of experimentation which the
banks call failure -- it is insanity. In
addition to the new methods of creation, circulation, valuation we must add
that money needs to precede value if we want this work. In the alien scenario
above there should have been plenty of money available from government
determining a need and understanding value needed rebuilt (Houses etc.). But the essence is that in
modern society we need not "invent" ways of profiting on everything especially
for these basic needs. Those basic needs are a part of commons. Money would
have been created and circulated to the proper parties in this case including
the expenses incurred for needs during rebuilding because that whole process
creates value. The beautiful part is the actual fixing falls to the private
sector to make profit from materials and earn money through labor. Initially
these costs might be considered high until we realize people will work for
reasonable wages even when basics are usually not denied creating a better more
holistic community. Free markets would then be truly free. Free markets would
have to be creative to get people to purchase your ideas or products. The money
to buy labor and materials would have been available. Simply put we all
participate in the commons, we all participate in the new found justice and
freedom derived from sound money systems.
A modest
proposal for example to OWS would be to drop everything and focus your forces
on the most dysfunctional, the most powerful, the most unprogressive institutions
creating massive mayhem in OUR world. Put all effort toward educating all
activists in your movement and others as
well as the public through all the innovative strategies you have developed.
You want non affiliation? Then know the truth about real power and educate your
followers about this. Educate them on solutions and force the political class
by virtue of mass demand rooted in full understanding of monetary systems, that
they be addressed. We must make this the number 1 issue for ALL justice derives
from this core system.
