There comes a time when work or school and writing just can’t be done. You’re burnt out. You may not be able to read anymore either because work, school, or writing involved grandiose amounts of reading.
Your options become go outside into the crumbling world to get a breath of…air. Or, turn on the television, pop in a DVD, or pull up a video on the Internet. (Or, spend time with friends and family, which is actually more worthwhile than isolating yourself.)
I’ve only seen the pilot episode, but I think “Fringe” is a refreshing show to see on television as the television industry turns to reality television shows as the future of television.
When you need a break but cannot bring yourself to plunge into a world of virtual reality entirely, find an episode of “Fringe” on the Internet and consider how greatly it illuminates the world we live in and how obsolete we sadly have become.
