His first position in the new government was the commander of all armed forces and treasury department (Army & money). He did his job well; his first four years were his best years. He increased the revenue; he taxed every thing including bottles of vodka, roles of opium and attendants of the houses of ill repute. He turned the Cossack brigade into an Iranian Army, with Iranian names and ranks. The 2,500-man unit turned into several divisions with an air force and navy. At the end of his reign, the Army reached 150,000 men, including a mechanized division. He brought security back to the country, all of the bandits, thieves, trouble makers, old corrupt politicians and undesirables were eliminated, liquidated or chased out.

Sheikh Khazaal one of the toughest unruly rulers to get rid of. He was the ruler of all oil fields of Persian Gulf. He was a trusted British puppet. Reza Khan kept his word and did not raise a hand to him - just took his treasures and kept him as a guest in Tehran. He is buried in the British embassy in Tehran.

Using the political system he made arrangement for a constitutional assembly, which deposed the Ghajar Dynasty and changed Reza Khan to Reza Shah - the head of the new Pahlavi dynasty on December 12, 1925.

In twenty years Khan dragged the country from Middle Ages to the twentieth century.

Married three times, Khan did not like any of his wives. The only leisure activity was playing cards with his generals.

In return for the British giving him the chance, he renewed the oil treaty with the British, increasing Iran's share of benefits only to 32%, and checkmated Stalin and Iranian communists. Total dictatorship was just what the British wanted.

Divided the country to five military zones, each zone was run by one of his buddies from the old times. No more foreign officers. He was the absolute power.

Iran's first three-star general. He was put in charge of the three western states of Lorestan, Kurdestan and west Azerbaijan - the roughest part of the country. At that time, the citizen's only profession was to be a professional bandit. He took over his mission with a driver and forty Mounties and no money. The revenue came from taxation of Vodka, opium prostitutes and the rich. Manpower came from draft. Guns were taken from the tribal bandits by force. In four years there was not one bandit left. The garrisons he made are still in use. He brought people and places under control after 200 years. The true stories of his achievements are simply mind-boggling.

Secretary of the court: Reza Khan used the few available foreign educated civilians to run the country and learn from. Here is the all-powerful secretary of royal court. When the British intelligence service informed Reza Khan of Teymourtash's intention to stage a coup with the help of Russians, he was killed in such awful fashion to make an example what happens to enemies of the crown.
