The Christian Right either misunderstands or ignores all the basic, universal truths. Instead, they focus on certain words in scriptures to justify themselves. For example, they focus on misguided beliefs about "Armageddon," and about "the wrath of God" being "poured out" upon the earth. They do not realize they simply misunderstand and misinterpret symbolic prophecies in order to justify their hate and their desire for dominance and military victory over their enemies. In that respect they are much like the religious bigots and hypocrites who call themselves the true Jews or Muslims. They are all wrong. Absolutely wrong.

They believe they are absolutely right, of course. And they believe the "Word of God" in the Torah or Bible or Qur'an justifies them. They don't realize that even though many words in scriptures are indeed divinely inspired, some are not, and many are misinterpreted and misunderstood.

For example, the leaders of the Christian Right thump their bible and claim it justifies their worshiping and idolizing Jesus as "God Himself." They love to cite Isaiah 9:6, which says: ".. a son is given" ... "and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father..." That's one of their favorite verses in the Old Testament, and they claim it was fulfilled when Jesus said: "My father and I are One."

The trouble is, they do not consider the book of Isaiah in context, and they ignore all the other passages in the book of Isaiah, particularly those in chapters 42 and 43. They ignore that Isaiah provided clarification in those and other chapters by explaining how it is the son of man and "the witness and servant of God" who fulfills prophecy.

I've explained on the home page and other pages on this site, as well as in the books, all the scriptures they ignore. For example, they ignore that Jesus said: "Don't call me good, for there is only one who is good and that is God," who is "greater than I." They ignore that Jesus said he was a servant of God and that a servant of God is not God. And they ignore that in the Old Testament, Moses and David said: "God is not a man, nor a son of man" (Numbers 23:19), and "Do not rely on princes nor in the son of man, for he holds no salvation." (Psalms 146:3)

They ignore or deny that the reference to Isaiah 7:14 in the Christian gospels which state that "a virgin shall conceive and bear a son called Immanuel," is actually misrepresented and is not about Jesus, as is explained in the books and on the issue page on this web site about the virgin birth myth.

As I said on the home page, they ignore that Isaiah wrote, speaking for God: "He is my witness and my servant whom I have chosen, so you may know and believe me, and understand that I am the Holy One. Before me there was no God formed, and neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord God, and beside me there is no Savior." (Isaiah 43:10-11)

The truth is that only God is God, and only God is the Savior. That is specifically stated throughout the Bible, particularly in Isaiah 43:10-11, Isaiah 45:15 and 21, Isaiah 49:26, Hosea 13:4, Luke 1:47, and 1 Timothy 2:3-5. It is made very clear, but it is ignored by those who insist that Jesus is God the Savior. They simply do not understand that Jesus was a son of man and the Sacrificial Lamb of God, and they don't even understand the reason for his sacrifice. (See they page on the real reason for Jesus' martyrdom.)

In spite of all the valid criticism against them, the leaders of the American Christian Right have convinced themselves that they are really trying to "save" humanity, that their critics are merely "unpatriotic, godless unbelievers," and "secular humanists" (as if that was bad). But the truth is that they are really the godless ones. In fact, they are the hypocrites who falsely claim that they are doing "many wonderful works in the name of the Lord," just as Jesus predicted they would do.

You see, as I've said but bears repeating, the fact is that Jesus warned us of false prophets and hypocrites who would "pray for the ears of men" and claim to "prophecy, cast out devils, and do many wonderful works in the name of the Lord." Jesus called such hypocrites an "abomination." And he said the day would come when "I will profess to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22-23)

Of course, many Christians believe that speaks of what will happen when Jesus "comes again." But that is not so. The truth is that Jesus said he "must go away and would not be seen again," but a message from the Spirit of truth will come to deliver judgment, guide us unto truth, show us things to come, and glorify and present the testimony of the Christ who is with God in heaven. (See the page on Real Prophecies of the One to Come.)

The current son of man is the witness of God, and he serves God and the Spirit of truth according to Judeo-Christian prophecies. And, because the message from the Spirit of truth is universal in its truth, it serves to fulfill the prophecies of all religions.

Those who have divided and led so many different people astray can thank God that the Spirit of truth is sent not to condemn, but to educate; not to punish, but to correct; and not to destroy, but to save.

The day will come when real prophecy is fulfilled, when Christianity will be reformed and all the different denominations and sects will be reconciled. And they will also be reconciled with Jews and Muslims, as well as with Buddhists, Hindus and members of all other major religions, and with all humanity.

I tell you the truth, that we are all One with God, One in Spirit, and One with all humanity. And we all just need to start acting like it.
