But according to the US UN ambassador the massacre of Muslims is a relative matter. The death by collective execution of Lebanese civilians isn't the moral equivalent of deaths of victims of terror.

Our ability to "righteously" support this bloody invasion and occupation is achieved by portraying Muslims as demons bent on world domination, life unworthy of life, non-beings, anti-modern, anti-freedom, anti-democracy, stripped of the last semblance of humanity who would impose an Islamofascistic theocracy.

But the utter destruction of the Lebanese people, their complete deracination, is essential to placing their lands and resources in the hands of transnational corporations.
It's ethnic cleansing ala Katrina in New Orleans, enabling the removal of "undesirable", dark-skinned poor people from valuable real estate which can then be converted into hotels, malls, gated communities and casinos.
The hell that's been created will be rebuilt via no-bid contracts to Bechtel and Halliburton, once again the proud corporate standard bearers of Manifest Destiny and the White Man's Burden.
And this energy center and tourist "mecca" will be financed at public expense funneled through the usual channels of the World Bank and the IMF.
Osama bin Laden was right. They have come for your resources and your land, to be repeated consistently from country to country until transnationals own the entire planet - all the energy, land and water, minerals, and even the air. That is their purpose - to bring back the "Golden Age" of feudalism and reduce the majority of the world's peoples to serfdom.
