Vice President Joe Biden , at a Middle Class Task Force event, announced a series of federal actions designed to lay the groundwork for a strong, self-sustaining home energy efficiency retrofit industry. These actions include a new Home Energy Score program to help homeowners make cost-effective decisions about home energy improvements and a new retrofit financing program called PowerSaver. Source Video 

The United States Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA) subpoenaed energy giant Halliburton for a description of the chemical components used in a drilling technique called hydraulic fracturing, declaring the information important to its study of fracking, in which crews inject vast quantities of water, sand and chemicals underground to force open channels in sand and rock formations so oil and natural gas will flow.
