I feel like I am sinking in a mangrove of right wing
stupidity which is infiltrating/permeating the world with airs with spreadings of the malodorous
Bush gas/fear/greed/supremacy and control.
Today, while reading in the Bible in Luke 2:1-3 the following verses,
"In
those days a decree went from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be
enrolled. This was the first enrollment, when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
So, all went to be enrolled, each to his own town."
In my mind, now infested with all this talk about war, about our yellow belly betraying government whether it be in the Executive, the Legislative or the Judicial Branches of our government, I thought to myself,
'that: Caesar Augustus' Decree
was the first register of people (census) ever. Possibly to be used against a people if any were thought to be
what today we call a terrorist, or an enemy of the government ... all they
would have to do is look up in the register, go find him and ...
Isn't that exactly what Erodes was trying to do to the Baby Jesus?
Wasn't he trying to find the Baby Jesus to do away with him because he thought of him as his own personal enemy?
And then I thought, Maybe because He, Jesus, was born in a stable in the town of Behtlehem Erodes
didn't have a precise address to go find him.
So, I thought,Maybe it was a blessing from Heaven that Jesus was born in a stable. A Protection for both He, and Mary, and Joseph. No better place to be born in, even when it was a cold night and there was only a donkey and a cow to warm their stable.
What a perfect example of Heaven Providing for our needs--not our wants. What a lesson in humility and love missed by all our politicians, talk heads, power grabbers, Bushes, and all the rest of our present day evil doers.
So, while my mind is sinking (becoming overwhelmed by) in a
magrove of right wing stupidity, I have to believe that somewhere there is a
bright star, a warm stable, a non-contaminated air to breath ...
There has got to be, somewhere, a promise of hope which is
not a lie based on the Bushes malodorous gas of greed, power and control ...
And yes, this malodorous gas of greed, power and control is not the exclusivity
of the Bush family but, they are for me, the personification of it.
