America the Corporate

What is wrong with this system? We have people who have no idea about life in America running this country. American people still hope that they might, by a lucky chance, elect the right candidate for once, who will come into the Oval Office and save America, and make everything right again.

Well, here is the problem: people who become Presidents do not come from regular middle class circles anymore. In this day and age it is a legacy of the rich and powerful to hold power, and that is why they don’t come into office to lead the county of the people, instead they come to rule the country populated by people who work for their rich family and friends who run billion dollar corporations.

Why do American people think that the elites have their best interests at heart? They are not our friends, they are not our neighbors, they don’t work in the cubical next to ours, they don’t shop in the grocery store where we shop, they don’t go to the same vacation spots you go to, their children do not attend the same public schools your children go to, they don’t live in the same neighborhoods you live in, they do not live paycheck to paycheck like so many Americans do today.

In fact, in the last 30 years, while the middle class American family had to increase the amount of hours they work by more than 100% (by sending mothers and wives to work, and by having to work overtime) just to keep the same lifestyle, while the average CEO's workload stayed about the same, and their salaries increased by anywhere from 200 – 10000%!

The rich in America are a whole separate society with their own interests and their own friends and neighbors (who are not you), their own needs and worries and their own goals and dreams. So what makes anyone think that these entitled ones have any idea about our needs, our way of life, our thoughts and minds and our worries?

And even if they do, what makes us think that they are going to put a priority on our interests over their own? Remember, we are the people who work for their corporations, that means they have to keep us in line, in control, they have to keep a leash on us over our heads so that the order, according to their thinking, is maintained.

And they come into the Oval Office with the same mindset, which is maximum profit and power for a minimum investment. The goal of the new President entering Office should be to serve us the people, the true owners of this country, but that is not what a corporate-minded President is going to do, and why should he? He has his own interests, his own friends he'd rather help out, why should he worry about people he knows little or nothing about, and even less cares to find out?

American people have been selling out each other in exchange for perks from the MAN, for some crumbs form his table, and have lost all his respect in the process. We are willing to give up all dignity, rights and pride in order to advance in life, in order to get a taste of the so called "American dream". In the meanwhile we have been dividing as a society from within, separating and distancing ourselves form each other, and as a result losing our power as The People.
