Another Monday, another week of political insanity and other inanity to discuss on the Malloy show this week.

Our system of justice is on the table -- on the state and national level. Eric Schneiderman, the Attorney General of New York, has filed a $40 million lawsuit against Donald Trump for alleged fraudulent practices of his so-called "Trump University," as the AP reports:

"New York's attorney general sued Donald Trump for $40 million Saturday, saying the real estate mogul helped run a phony 'Trump University' that promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and mostly useless seminars, and even failed to deliver promised apprenticeships.

"Trump shot back that the Democrat's lawsuit is false and politically motivated.

"Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says many of the 5,000 students who paid up to $35,000 thought they would at least meet Trump but instead all they got was their picture taken in front of a life-size picture of 'The Apprentice' TV star.

"'Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of consumers' advancement through costly programs and caused real financial harm,' Schneiderman said. 'Trump University, with Donald Trump's knowledge and participation, relied on Trump's name recognition and celebrity status to take advantage of consumers who believed in the Trump brand.'"

Oh, this cannot be true! The loudest, proudest, birther in the US is possibly running a scam university? Charging unsuspecting students tens of thousands of dollars to basically have their photo taken in front of a piece of cardboard? (At the very least, The Donald could've sent his hairflap over for a live appearance. ...)

And then there is our very own Department of Justice, which is seeking immunity for all members of the Bush Crime Family, for any and all possible war crimes. According to The Examiner:

"The Department of Justice has filed a Grant of Immunity for war crimes against George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Paul Wolfowitz, and Donald Rumsfeld. The filing for the immunity of war crimes was made with the United States District Court, Northern District of California San Francisco Division.

"The filing is for procedural immunity in a case alleging that they planned and waged the Iraq War in violation of international law.

"The Plaintiff in this case is Sundus Shaker Saleh, an Iraqi single mother and refugee now living in Jordan. She filed a complaint in March 2013 in a San Francisco federal court alleging that the planning and waging of the war constituted a 'crime of aggression' against Iraq, a legal theory that was used by the Nuremberg Tribunal to convict Nazi war criminals after World War II.

"'The DOJ claims that in planning and waging the Iraq War, ex-President Bush and key members of his Administration were acting within the legitimate scope of their employment and are thus immune from suit,' chief counsel Inder Comar of Comar Law said."

Waging war against a country that had taken no provocative steps toward us in some twisted "preemptive" strike.  Followed by waterboarding, carpet bombing, torture, indefinite detention of innocents ... and there is no accountability for any of this? The Congressional Democrats took impeachment "off the table" when The Decider was still in his second, murderous term. Now the Obama DOJ want's to clear Bush and his co-conspirators of any culpability for their deeds?

You have to wonder why ... could it be they  like the Bush Doctrine and the precedent it set?

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, world, Truthseekers.  Let's hope we can survive it.

Kathy never expected a career in radio as a talk show producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy was completing her nursing degree when in 2001 - in an emergency - she was asked to fill in as the producer of Mike's program. Within a few (more...)
