This just in.
A very complicated back story, which shows Ted Cruz's father to be a bigamist, among other things, and his mother to be a globe-trotting citizenship-renouncing serial marriage partner, establishes Ted Cruz is not a natural born citizen of the U.S.
And he may not even be a citizen at all of the U.S.
A non natural born citizen cannot Constitutionally become president or vice president.
Donald Trump is right on this.
So is this lawyer, Victor Williams, professor and write-in candidate for president, announcing his candidacy here.
Trump and several others have challenged Cruz's eligibility, but Trump has not brought the matter to court, and the others have so far been dismissed as lacking standing to sue (mere voters rarely have standing in the court's view). So, it'll be mostly up to gadfly candidate Williams to establish Cruz's ineligibility state-by-state, an expensive and difficult process.
Separately, one has to wonder about the upbringing of this supposedly conservative candidate. It certainly contradicts his crafted image of strong family man.
Also, there are allegations, increasingly credible, that Cruz is himself a philanderer, and even in a D.C. Madam's black book of clients. Still has a video report on that too:
