Mr. Genachowski,
I believe you made a pledge to the American people in concert with our president. Preservation of Net Neutrality was a priority of your commission.
I read with dismay of Comcast ignoring neutrality rules and charging Netflix a special fee to deliver content that is not even the property of Comcast. As you are no doubt aware, Comcast also provides movies in competition with Netflix so this is a deliberate move to squelch competition without regard to their customers needs. Netflix just raised my subscription fee even though I already pay Comcast for Internet access.
This simply is not acceptable on a network that is not the property of Comcast and which was initially built by the government with taxpayer dollars. It cannot be permitted over cables that were placed using tax payer subsidies to extend broadband to any part of the nation.
Comcast also provides telephone service. If they are not stopped, how much longer can I expect my VoIP phone to work? Will Comcast use their power to kill off Magic Jack, Vonage, Nextiva and anyone else who dare offer a competitive or better service over the Internet?
This is a test of YOUR resolve and YOUR ability to protect the Internet from marauding corporations trying to wipe out competition. What happens if nothing is done to block Comcast and they acquire NBC as well? What will happen to choice? What will stop the next ISP from doing the same? What of my own small web company? What if Comcast decided to charge me or block all of my customer's web sites? Will I become another small business crushed out of existence by a mega-corporation?
Comcast has one mission...to eliminate competition and reduce the choices available to the public. Sure they increase speed but if they reduce what you can access what value is a fast Internet when you can see only what they want to allow you to see?
It is time to put up or find something else to do. The FCC is supposed to protect the best interest of the general public of this nation, not to help mega-corporations create a monopoly by crushing competition.
What's it going to be Mr. Genachowski? Us or them?
Respectfully,
Paul Kruger,
Owner. StuffDone.com

Note: NetFlix has already paid this fee. The also just increased they subscription price. Help them fight this injustice before everything you do on line has a price attached paid to Comcast for content they do not even own. Battle begun
