America has been going to Hell in a hand-basket ever since 911 in a steady progression of fear, paranoia and repression, war and bloodshed, torture, hatred, vengeance and impoverishment, with no end in sight. Now there are strong indications that an attack on Iran, another pending firestorm, is on the Western elitist agenda. But this is also an expression of the soul of Western civilization at this point in time, which is, in many ways, purely Fascist. Fascism is endemic to patriarchal, corporatist, mechanistic cultures, not merely a phenomenon of any one country. Wilhelm Reich is the one who said that "Fascism is the vampire leached onto the body of the living, the impulse to murder given free rein, when love calls for fulfillment in spring." (Wilhelm Reich, The Mass Psychology of Fascism, p. xvii, Preface to the Third Edition)
Reich should have added the word torture to murder. It is totally surreal that we live in a country that is not only NOT embarrassed about torturing people to any great degree, but actually condones it throughout various strata of society, with jaded psychotics like Dick Cheney leading the charge. This clearly indicates a civilization in deep moral and ethical decline, one headed for the shoals of Hades. Add to that the Orwellian nature of the West whereby a Nobel Peace Prize can be awarded to a superficial politician who is not only pursuing and escalating war across the planet, but eviscerating scores of innocent humans with Terminator-style drones on an ongoing basis.
911 was a pivotal moment when America and much of the West not only
surrendered to an Imperialist agenda, but also embraced all the negativity of fear, hatred and vengeance. Critical analysis and thinking, and with it TRUTH, were thrown out the window in an emotional frenzy aggravated by fear of the government, which was already set in lockstep to the drumbeat of war and pressuring anyone out of step. 911 was and is a great crime whose perpetrators we have totally misconstrued, a crime that has birthed thousands of more crimes that are devastating humanity and the planet, with no end in sight through the instrument of the false "War on Terror".
Yet this is all perfectly explainable in the first verse of the Dhammapada that recites the Buddha:
"Our life is shaped by our mind: we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draw it."
The evil thoughts have many and far-reaching, magnified by the Mainstream Media a thousand times over.
911 is like a giant vampire sucking at our life blood that can only be slain by the stake of Truth driven through its monstrous heart. 911 has to be investigated by a body totally separated from the tentacles of the government and the truth exposed for all to see and act upon.
*******
A strong step in that direction is the 2008 award-winning documentary Elephant in the Room, produced and directed by Englishman Dean Puckett, a street level, critical look at the myths and deceptions of 911, as well as a spotlight on the 911 Truth Movement. It includes interviews with our own OpEdNews contributor, Cynthia McKinney, who took on the contradictions and inconsistencies in the government's account of events head on; with the heroic, live-saving North Tower janitor, William Rodriguez, who saw his testimony that he experienced a huge explosion in the tower basement erased by ABC News and words put in his mouth instead; with Scott Forbes, who, to quote from 911Blogger, "reported a 'power down' for approximately 36 hours in the South Tower of the World Trade Center the weekend (8th to 9th) prior to September 11th 2001. The 'power down' conditions meant that for the floors his company Fiduciary Trust operated in (floors 90 and 94-97) there was no electricity - meaning CCTV cameras were out of operation and security doors were unlocked. Despite contacting the 911 Commission through their website and by mail Scott was never acknowledged or contacted." (source).
Actually, the power down extended on down to the 50th floor, Scott reports, and he witnessed scores of "workmen" in coveralls, carrying toolboxes, wandering throughout the building, ostensibly to replace electrical cables. What an amazing coincidence!
Also interviewed or filmed are Al Forcier, Manny Badillo, Kevin McPadden, Luke Rudkowski, John Feal, Alex Jones, Richard Gage and David Miller, as well as a panorama of everyday citizens. This is a documentary meant to wake you up and reinvigorate your critical faculties. Check it out please.
