Depraved Heart/Mind Murder: Justice for Gay Mormon Suicides?

Recently I wrote that I was submitting a request to several law schools for a law review article on seeking criminal justice for the numerous suicides being committed by young Gay Mormons some of whom have recently returned from foreign missions only to be denied full rights as a church member. The rate is epidemic probably equal to the per capita rates of returned veterans of the Iraq-Afghanistan wars.

While I have not yet secured a commitment for the law review it has been suggested I research “Depraved Heart/Mind Murder,” the conviction for which is second degree murder.

Oddly, while watching “Lie to Me,” the new TV program series the other evening, one of the cases being resolved by the main character was on that very subject. Multiple cases of suicides by girls from India on temporary visas resulted from their being used by the perpetrator as surrogate mothers in a scam by an official of the Immigration Department.

After giving birth each of the girls committed suicide when permanent residency was denied and they were destined to be shipped back to India where they would face disgrace for what they had done. Fearing their very own futures they committed suicide.

While the show is fictional, it turns out after very little research in Black’s Law Dictionary that indeed Depraved Heart/Mind Murder is actionable by criminal prosecutors. Conviction does bring penalties of second degree murder.

Callous disregard for life creating circumstances resulting in death of innocents is the basis of the crime. It will be my intention to push for prosecution of any member of the Mormon Church hierarchy for the unnecessary deaths they have caused. It may take appeals to the Supreme Court but the delay will not stay statute of limitations for there is none for murder!

Ignorance of the law is not excusable nor is ignorance of the fact that 1/16th  part of all humanity is homosexual.

In the meantime I am still expecting a solid law review article on the subject!
