The hopes that Affordable Care would be struck down by the Supremes is DOA to the GOP. What fresh straw man will they construct to attack Obama?
The headlines on the Neocon sites about today's landmark decision are hysterical:
Americans "Deliberately Deceived'
Obamacare Is "Middle Class Tax Increase'
Obamacare Repeal "Defining Issue of Fall Campaign'
Rep. Gohmert Calls for Justice Kagan's Impeachment
Romney: I Will Repeal Obamacare as President
Court Ruling Lets More Than $800 Billion in Higher Taxes Proceed
Insurance Group: Obamacare Ruling Won't Lower Costs
And that's just from this hour.
The war between the parties is sure to reach a fever-pitch as the increasingly desperate Republicans attempt to push forward a repeal of Affordable Care against the (conservative) Supreme Court's ruling. Good luck with that.
No doubt the one-two judicial punch in favor of Obama on immigration and health care from this traditionally right-leaning court will make it extremely difficult for the Teabaggers to justify their opposition to All Things Obama during this election season.
Pass the popcorn bucket and pull on the sweatpants, the fun fest is just getting started . . . .
