Sarah Palin--Far less administrative experience than Barack Obama
At the Republican convention this evening it was stated by every speaker and person being interviewed that Sarah Palin has far more administrative than does Barack Obama. This is patently false.
Sarah Palin was mayor of a town with fewer than 8,000 people and governor of Alaska, population less than 700,000. She has fought members of her own party and gotten rid of many corrupt government workers. She managed to work with three oil companies, attempting to get them to put in a gas pipeline, which was turned down by the Alaska legislature, so she had to go out for competitive bids, which the oil companies refused to bid on.
Barack Obama has, for the past 19 months, according to the Republicans, been running a nationwide campaign during which he has received contributions from more than 2,000,000 people, has organized tens of thousands of campaign workers, and successfully garnered the nomination for president of the Democratic Party.
You don't get administrative experience by being governor of a state with the 4th smallest population in the country. If you can't get it by having been president, running a successful campaign makes a good second best.
