While I am still technically a teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District, I am in the process of being dismissed for having reported the fraudulent graduation of 79 students from my school with low STAR Reading Assessment scores with some as low as 2nd grade.
While going after LAUSD administration in state court is an expensive and long drawn out process, there is federal qui tam Federal False Claims Act proceedings designed to protect the federal government against loss of money by fraud. At LAUSD, attendance records have been fixed to get greater federal government contribution and other federally subsidized programs have been scammed to get more federal bucks.
Do you have access to any documents, firsthand witnesses, or anybody who can prove any practices engaged in by any school district that defrauded the federal government. I have an appointment in about a week with a large East coast law firm that is interested in pursuing LAUSD fraud and any other that I can give them documentation for. Let me know if you can be of any help.
Best regards,
