God Bless Americans
On Nov 5, 2008 I wrote an article here in Opednews.com following
President Obama's winning the US presidential elections which was full of
emotions. I have to say again this Wednesday Nov 7, 2012 morning I could not
hold my tears again with Obama re-elected for four more years. The title of
that article was: God Bless America.
This time it is " God Bless
Americans " . They are the ones who made the difference and the ones who
made this historical moment.
That time I wrote " Welcome Back
America " referring to the four years preceding Obama's presidency where
America became isolated with it's war zones and war machines . I can not forget the very warm reception
Obama received in Germany when he was still president-elect.
This time I write " Thanks America
For Deciding to Stay With us ", us being the rest of the world . I think
Obama's modesty, respect for other nations, extended hand, willingness to
engage others on local and international issues, and being arrogance-free has
gained America more respect and cooperation . Let us not forget Former
President Bill Clinton efforts in supporting Obama. The two have gained respect
across the world for their knowledge , pragmatism and willingness to listen.
No doubts in my mind that the American people, with this choice, have
reached the conclusion that power alone will not do the job. Wisdom and working
closely with the allies will do. America wanted to lead the world in
prosperity, happiness and success. Thanks America. We do not need more proof
that America is a country of peace, freedom and human rights.
There are those who love
America and those who hate America. In my opinion there is one main character
that differentiate the two. Those who
love have seen and have been to America. Those who don't have never been to America. Therefore I think it is in the US best interest to encourage more people from
other countries to come and see America.
One closing remark. I wanted
to title this Article ( What The Eyes
For If They Do Not Shed Tears Today Nov 7, 2012 ), but by the time I started
writing my emotions have calmed down.
