The Teabaggers are mobilizing, once again, to defeat the President's signature legislation, the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare). Seems these knuckle-draggers just can't accept "yes" for an answer. Even with some two-score defeated attempts by Congressional Neocons to repeal ACA, they just won't give up.
There is no depth too low for these Luddites, who would rather see young people, the working poor, and middle-class working families buckle under the burden and stress of exorbitant health-care costs than see the President score a perceived tiny political victory. A victory in which, remember, everybody wins -- except the Big Corporations, lobbyists, and the political candidates they own.
In their latest attempt to prevent Americans from participating in a more rational health-care system, a couple of Koch Brother front groups are now advocating law-breaking by young people in order to prevent ACA's implementation in October. Reuters reports:
"FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity, a conservative issue group financed by billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, known for funding conservative causes, are planning separate media and grassroots campaigns aimed at adults in their 20s and 30s -- the very people Obama needs to have sign up for healthcare coverage in new online insurance exchanges if his reforms are to succeed."'We're trying to make it socially acceptable to skip the exchange,' said Dean Clancy, vice president for public policy at FreedomWorks, which boasts 6 million supporters. The group is designing a symbolic 'Obamacare card' that college students can burn during campus protests."
It's all sabotage and propaganda, aimed at young people, funded by billionaires. What the Teabaggers see in the Koch Brothers is mystifying. Other than their "caucasionhood," what do they have in common? The Brothers Koch would turn their faithful conservative minions into feudal serfs with the wave of a $1,000 cigar if they could.
These boys don't discriminate when it comes to destroying the middle class. If they succeed in implementing total corporate, capitalist control over what is left of our representative democracy, they won't employ some kind of "right-wing rapture" or "political passover" that spares just the middle-class Neocons from total subjugation.
To quote a TV show, the truth is out there. There is plenty of information available about the Koch Brothers and the inner-workings of their anti-American propaganda machine. The question is -- will these deluded, brainwashed drones remove the teabags from their eyes before they voluntarily walk off the cliff?
