In these times of global economic crisis, many people are turning their attention to the bible, hoping to find some comfort. They are surprised to find so many specific instructions in the OT concerning almost all aspects of life. One can read that "the brother of the brother who died must marry the widow", or that "children between unmarried parents are bastards"! Not to mention some ridiculous information about how many days a woman is unclean after she gives life. Note that the number of days is depending on if she gives life to a boy or a girl.
Is there any information about the economy, the environment, some clean energy source, or how to heal some serious diseases? No! Didn't he know anything about such things, or, perhaps he didn't care? Didn't he wish that his children could make some achievements to improve life? Certainly not! That's why he confused the languages so that "we wouldn't be able to communicate with one another". That's why he sent different groups to different places all over the earth. The Eskimo mythology says that their forefathers had been transported to where they live now "inside big metal birds." Similar information is to be found in many other mythologies as well.
Is Christianity meant to conquer the world and unite the people of the earth? Or Islam? Or are these two religions meant to divide the world and balance each other's power? We know that Gabriel, a son of Yahweh, has been involved in the creation of both those religions. His brother Nannar (St Michael) too. Additionally, St Michael is the chief of the army of God! Is it possible that the administration of God has employed a chief of the army but not a minister of finance? A third son of him, Ishkur, was an expert in chemical and biological weapons. He is also known as Raphael that means "healer of El."
We find that all the archangels were well-educated. They were specialists in different areas. But their knowledge was not allowed to reach the humans. Not even the "healer of El" wished to give us some medical information. Nannar/St Michael is also known as a great administrator. He was the governor of Ur, and occasionally the whole land of Mesopotamia/Sumer. We presume he was skilled in economics too. Are we to pray to him for some advice in economics? Not likely, since he is specialized in some other activities, according to Christian beliefs. The Christians are expecting that he will come for their soul when the time comes! We shouldn't put our hope to Gabriel either, since he is also known as Ares, the god of war! So long our hopes!
What about Yahweh then? If he is God then nothing is impossible for him, or? Christians use to say that God created us and gave us the ability to think. What we do with our lives is up to us. I accept that. But why then pray to God, Jesus, or some saint in the first place? Do they know who we are? Do they care? Or is the purpose of the prayer just a way to strengthen our will and give us some comfort? If so, then we could equally pray to the Sun, or to Amun! We used to end our prayers with "Amen" which is a contradiction, actually; it means "let it be according to the will of Amun." Amun was the adversary of Yahweh concerning the political power on earth. Their fight was never of religious character. Do we trust more in Amun than in Yahweh? Mysterious are the ways of God, aren't they?
Now one could say that it's a scam to demand that God would solve some of our problems. I agree, but because of different reasons. I am sure we are going to overcome the economic crisis, as well as other problems too. Perhaps we would have some fewer problems to solve had we not been too busy in solving some other problems created by God! Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and the antagonism between them, has been creating so many problems that we must wonder if this God is good or evil!
We wonder if he created problems on purpose, just to keep us busy and neutralize human development. The Cathars, and probably the Templars too, believed that "the god of the OT was not a good one." The sword of his representatives on earth (the Christian Church) struck hard on both. Yahweh's order is very clear. Take those who worship other gods outside the city gate and stone them to death! (Deuteronomy 17:5) As for some help we so desperately need for solving some problems, I am afraid we have to wait! If he was running for president or something, I wouldn't put my vote on him. You could say that he is not an earthly leader but a heavenly one. He is promising the kingdom of heavens; something that nobody could possibly know anything about. I wonder if there is someone there taking hand of the economy!
On the other hand, he could be busy trying to create some problems on some other Planet of Gold
