Just think! What to do with $20 million never mind the additional $36,412...

VHeadline editor & publisher Roy S. Carson writes: It was just the news I didn't want to hear ... not that I'm jealous or anything like that! But I just heard that 77-year-old Caraqueno Salvatore C. DiStefano hit the jackpot in last week's $36 million Florida Lotto with a winning ticket purchased in Miami Beach ... and he walked away with a lump sum payment of $20,036,412.

Well you would, wouldn't you?

Just think! What to do with $20 million never mind the additional $36,412 (but who's counting!)

Even with the spare change we could get VHeadline Venezuela up and running again, delivering the truth about Venezuela to thousands upon thousands of readers around the world who have lost sight of us since the plug was pulled on us in January. Just think what Frank Steffan could do with a few spare thousands to spend on equipment at The American Voice Radio (AVRN) and we'd be able to go back to two hours daily live broadcasting to more than 1,000 radio stations around the world.

Aaaaah! But that's the stuff that pipe-dreams are made of! I can't think for a moment that Salvatore is going to pick up the phone and dial 713-893-1433 to give me a nice surprise; or indeed that he will log on to http://www.paypal.com/ to send us a donation at vheadline@gmail.com to keep our spirits alive just that little bit longer.

I'm sure he'll do what any right-thinking millionaire; at least a 77-year-old 20-times millionaire would do and buy himself a one-way flight to a luxury island retreat with a bevvy of blonde-haired masseuses to rest his weary bones after a lifetime "working hard" and occasionally "stopping by the convenience store" to buy a Quick Pick ticket. Well its the sort of thing you do in Miami beach, isn't it?

Ah well! We simply have to say "Good Luck" Stefano and try to get on with the daily grind as best we can.

Shucks, That's Life ... ain't it! Now what was that number...
