In our second episode of the Rap News USA, I rhyme about Khader Adnan's heroic hunger strike and the fact that though this strike is done, the struggle to end administrative detention and free Palestine continues.

on youtube, a transcript of the lyrics are pasted below:

Professor D here,
Peace, b ut not without Justice just as
Before a breaking news broadcast with more
On the one sided war of a terrorist state
Against Palestine's perilous fate
And Khader Adnan's courageous fight
Ending his 66 day hunger strike
Abducted in December, a community member was
used as a human shield by troops to enter
his home in a violent raid, terrorizing
his mother and daughters afraid
that they might not see him again, it's the eighth time
in 6 years he's been arrested for no crime
interrogated, tortured but no word or syllable
refused all food on a civil disobedience
principle, he joined the ranks
of those who fight tanks and colonial strength
with satyagraha: the force of truth
and use that to combat the force of troops
held in so called administrative detention,
a necessary trait of a fascist state's
mechanism of imprisonment for months at a time,
renewable at the drop of a dime without
releasing any evidence or plots of a crime
no charge or trial, just the dislike
of people occupying and trying to silence the
crying of those vying for just human rights
Missile strikes are what the enemy launches
Hunger strikes are a weapon of conscience
by western media he was ignored
but major human rights orgs were on board
In the middle of this international Action week
They were forced to concede a date of early release
So this strike is done but the fight's not won
There's hundreds held in indefinite detention
So he's still not free and really will not be
'Till Palestine's human rights are guaranteed
One of the great ironies of the last century
Is the dialectic of the colonial legacy
Europe's most terrorized racialized kind
Made a state that embodies that very same crime
And represents to the world that blatant paradigm
Of the racial state: Israeli apartheid
So all those amongst us who hunger for justice
Will stay hungry until love is triumphant
So all those amongst us who hunger for justice
Will stay hungry until love is triumphant

Yeah, Yeah

I don't mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence
But I can't feed off the powerless... Yo

So all those amongst us who hunger for justice
Will stay hungry until love is triumphant

Yeah, stay hungry, the struggle continues
