Looks Like It's Hitler vs. Mommie Dearest

Hate to say it, but it looks like Hitler versus Mommie Dearest, barring a Bernie comeback. Better if Bernie has a Flash Gordon moment, and swoops to victory because otherwise it will be a scary ride to the White House. Hitler, of course, needs no introduction. Joan Crawford plays a cruel and psychologically damaged person in the movie Mommie Dearest:

Calling Trump Hitler, as some pundits have done, may be over the top. Trump's flaw is to say things without thinking, things that provoke proponents of political correctness or racial sensitivity. His followers believe he says what he means, and sometimes it is mean. He is angry about trade deals. Chinese are ripping us off. Politicians are stupid. He wants to be one.

Hillary, on the other hand, says everything but never means anything. She speaks with the conviction of a Facebook Like button on a page littered with cat postings. Someday there will be a Hillary emoji to smudge the truth.

With those two front-runner choices, this election seems like the horror movie: Freddie verses Jason:

Regarding Trump: not since John Belushi's Animal House have we seen food fights of such epic proportion. Belushi was an obnoxious bully and rebel and we loved him. Trump is the same except we hate him. He is no Samurai warrior, except maybe in the New York Athletic Club on Central Park South, where the fat guys sit in the sauna, dripping with sweat, and fantasizing that the towels will hide their bellies and body hair, and make them look less like Mafia bad boys. Believe me, it does not work. As a non-member, I used to sneak into the club via the freight elevator. Ah the fragrant stench of garbage.

Hillary, of course, is left out of the men's club. Not a natural team player, she talks at people and not to them. If she met the Laughing Lady at Coney Island, she would nod her head for ten minutes, shake the mannequin's hand, and call it a day. Trump, of course, would kick the Laughing Lady out of his rally. Maybe punch her in the face. He would do the same to Isis, Al Qaeda, and maybe the movie Aladdin.

Although Hillary trumps her diplomatic skills, her policies killed thousands if not millions of people. She advised a ruinous plan of destruction that resulted in 1.3 million deaths in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, not to mention Libya and Syria. Chaos is her crowning achievement. She would have no problem taking the helm of a Mekong river boat in the movie Apocalypse Now, disemboweling Marlon Brando, and putting his head on a pike.

Not to be outdone, when global warming hits New York (again), Trump's business acumen will kick in, and he will finance yellow submarines that commute in flooded subway tunnels. Floating Trump Towers could be the future.

Hillary's skill sets, however, along with her ambition, ripple like steel pylons beneath her bodice, her voice often erupting with the disdainful virulence of a croaking heron spearing a frog. With her chilling apathy, malignant indifference, and degrading delight toward human suffering. Hillary may one-up the Trump. Witness her satiated smile and gloating chuckle at the news of Gaddafi's death. Her voice purrs with pleasure and self importance.

Betrayed by both parties and burdened for so long by corporate chains, the people feel powerless to act. Hillary fully understands this. Diminished expectations form her base. She will continue to out-Bernie the Bern, then try to out-Trump the Trump, just like she out-Gaddafi'd Gaddafi. The world will suffer and Hillary will profit. The middle class will remain mired.

Better to follow Bernie Sanders and have a bastion of hope at the helm, than to accept Clinton's message of diminished expectations, and go forth like whipped dogs, tails between our legs. Hillary will say anything; she is faking it to further her career. Trump is trumpeting, and if Hillary runs against him, people may follow his clarion call (a medieval trumpet with clear shrill tones), no matter what the outcome, no matter where it leads.
