NRA Mouthpiece w/ Violent Past Pushes "Babies With Guns" Bill

Gun violence in America has reached epic proportions and continues to escalate with each passing day. Little sanity remains when it comes to those driven by Second Amendment paranoia regarding even the mention of possible controls on guns.

With every massacre, once the "trigger" words 'gun control' are spoken, gun shows overflow with individuals stockpiling more weapons, and the NRA kicks into overdrive, tightening screws on its strategically placed pro-gun political puppets, resulting in ever more destructive and mindless, gun-loving legislation.

A sick, twisted piece of legislation introduced into the Iowa House of Representatives by Republican and NRA stooge Jake Highfill, now makes it possible for anyone of ANY age to handle and fire weapons. It contains the worthless proviso that parents must be present. This assumes, of course, that the parents are in their right minds. A fact which is instantly challenged by anyone giving a weapon to someone of an age [1 year and up] with no concept of the consequences of their actions; no understanding of suffering and death or its moral, ethical and societal implications; limited ability to distinguish fantasy from reality and having little to no control over their own attention spans, whims or emotions. What could possibly go wrong?

In Iowa, psychopathy is running rampant. The NRA's goal is clear. They want absolutely nothing to stand in their way of achieving "a loaded gun in every hand" scenario, and invoking a lawless free-for-all where everyone packs heat and makes their own rules -- including one year old babies.

This legislative piece of garbage passed the Iowa House with an overwhelming majority of 62 to 36, and now moves on to the Senate. WTF!?!

Aside from being a prostitute for the NRA, what type of person sponsors such malicious, socially degenerative poison? That would be Jake Highfill. A 26 year old Republican who was sworn into the Iowa House of Representatives in January 2013. He represents the interests of the gun lobby and belongs to the Iowa Firearms Coalition -- an affiliate of the National Rifle Association. iowafc.org/blog/tag/jake-highfill/

What's just as vile as the legislation Highfill sponsored, is his own disgusting past behavior. Prior to being elected to his current political seat, he broke a bottle into the face of his roommate who apparently tried to keep him from brandishing a shotgun at a party. The victim, permanently disfigured, required 39 stitches for a nine inch gash across his cheek.

If Highfill cannot control his own violent outbursts at the age of 26, why would any rational person believe that toddlers carrying weapons will be anything other than a bloody, unmitigated, societal disaster.

With the scope of mental illness and intolerance growing within America and abroad, greatly exacerbated by the ease and convenience of reaching for a gun, who will protect society from the psychopaths commandeering positions of power in American politics? No one it seems.

The rights of every living being who craves peace and favors intelligent, critical thinking over rabid violence, continue to be annihilated by those possessed of extremely primal brains. When it comes to guns, we are a nation--and increasingly, a world--full of drooling, idiot zombie-automatons who don't eat brains, but prefer to blow them out.

No matter how many children end up killing other children, or how high the kill count rises from our unending gun massacres, gun freaks continue to double down and loudly wail that guns bring personal safety and security. It's a bizarre form of mental illness that's frightening to watch.

A gun in the home for self defense is reasonable. Stockpiling an arsenal is not. Teaching kids respect for all life from the time they take their first steps is the best way to insure they become empathetic, compassionate contributors to society. Giving them guns, as history proves time and again, is a sure-fire recipe for creating violent psychopaths.
