' So I am nuts but legally sane?
Yes, there are  too many of  you, sociopaths, so  a decision was made to consider  people like you  legally   sane or otherwise we would not be able to convict anyone'

From the movie about two   Boston  cousins - killers

Obviously, it does not matter if I support this  Bill  or not; the witches' cauldron  is full and  the infamous Potomac two -step is arranged.  Senator  K. Gillibrand comes  out  on Boring Joe's and  tells us what people want:

People do not want guns in the hands of the mentally ill (here she stumbled for a moment and  then  corrected that to ' violent mentally ill.').
People do not want  guns to fall  into the hands  of criminals (here she stumbled again and said  'violent criminals').

So now we know. If a person decides to buy a gun, say  when he/she is  21 years' old and does not have  ANY record of  ANY violent  confrontation,  also could open his/her records on taking  ADD drugs- that person  will be able  to  get a Bushmaster  easy. An adult who had some bar brawls, who  maybe had some misdemeanors and  is a former police officer  on the beat  where  he attended the  psychiatrist most likely will not be able to get  even a shotgun.  Moreover, the cost of the background  check will be passed to the consumer and a person first will have to give permission to disclose his/her  medical records to total strangers, then pay for the  check and then.. maybe still not get the product for his/her money. Of course, there should be an appeal process, pay more, more, more... all for getting the freaking 38- - caliber; then the guy will lose his temper- and that will be put on his background record forever. Then he will go and buy the damned gun on a black market. As ammo  purchases would not require a background check,  a person  with an illegal gun will still be able to buy as much bullets as he/she could carry. Only  Washington could  concoct such a nonsense.

And an evil nonsense too.  Who will perform those checks?  Some special agencies you do not know about? More  intermediate people  earning their  dough on you?  And when the check is done, what will they do with that info?  Put it on the internet? How about sex offenders, rapists? How will they be qualified? How about abortionists? Abortion is a violent act, take it or leave it.  So maybe we should  include a provision that women  who performed abortions should be prohibited from buying guns?  Fairly soon the only people who would be able to buy a gun  legally will be  infants and toddlers. They could store  those in the safe  boxes  until age 21 and buy maintenance.

Now to the serious  business. Dick Cheney  openly boasted  that he  and his cronies killed 400 birds in one day in a hunting carnage. That's  nuts, ladies  and gents. But I can bet no Bill  will restrict people like Cheney from acquiring  any weapon of choice.  He is not even mentioned. Those  sentimental ladies who are all pro- Bill  do not talk about Cheney and Co.They do not talk about wars. They do not talk about severe mental problem of our current President who uses drones for target  killings. They do ask Cindy Sheehan to come and talk about violence. They, those smiling harpies are   ready to sell us  all for  nothing. They are on the prowl, they feel empowered and do not even see how nicely they are handled, how true, important  issue of  violence is diluted in something which will satisfy everyone  and solve nothing.
Quite a revenue , I should say.

Now, someone will ask  me, 'OK, but the kids were killed, how do we respond?' I  will tell you. First we stop killing  the kids in other places, prohibit drones and  bring the violent criminals in power to justice. Then we  offer universal health  insurance for the children up to 18 years' old. Then we impose a rule that ALL violent scenes in the media and video games are to be shown only in black-and - white. Then we simply  impose that ammo (not guns)  is to be sold  only in the government- controlled  stores and to buy ammo  a person has to show an ID  and a  registration for a gun. That simple. The ammo has to be restricted and buying in bulk must be justified. No background checks necessary

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. I do not have a gun. I don't think I need one. But I am not considering myself as an enlightened person because of this. And if I go buy one I want to do it on  my terms- I pay money and I get the product. That simple. I realize that  a gun is a weapon of death.  Thus I suggest  to control  ammo - the actual agent of death.  As an adult  I should  want such feature.  But that is all. Violence is  a much bigger problem and with all respect to the ladies- politicos- they did not  help much when we killed and killed and killed. Their crocodile tears do not count. To the contrary- they should  be ashamed of themselves; now they rave for the gun control but Cheney is still untouchable.

I  leave no stone unturned here.  Some readers could be upset with me but  I would encourage them to look in the mirror and  weigh my arguments above. We live in the country which had proven itself as lawless. As such we, sane people should not expect sane laws and Bills from the people who repeatedly proved themselves as violently insane. We should get rid of them first and only after that we will earn a right to shed a tear in Newtown, CT or Kandahar, Afghanistan. But Kandahar goes first.
