Ovis aries humanus

Message John Mann

Caution: What follows is not fit for consumption by the average American sheeple. Problems arise in that most sheeple, usually but not always white, have no idea that they ARE one, believing themselves instead to be free-willed in all of the most important aspects of life and damned lucky to be an American.

Ah-ahh, there you go. Did you just feel a surge of resentment rising inside that well-of-all-things, that place just under your heart? Of course we're free, and damn straight we're lucky to be American!

Again, be cautioned. This response is a generally reliable indicator common to a recently identified species known as Ovis aries-humanus.

Lately, awakened Americans have begun referring to either individuals or herds of this novel species simply as 'sheeple.' What follows is for those awakened ones, though if they choose, the hardiest and most determined of sheeple are certainly invited to attend, for however long their conditioned-response reflex, so thoroughly and elegantly trained by television and 'free press' can stand it.

Sheeple, you're warned.

You awake ones out there already know who you are. You're aware that the Bill of Rights, fountain of genuine freedom and supposedly among the United States' highest laws, is as dead as a doornail whenever politically empowered individuals, including the very lowest variety, taze-happy local cops that is, wish it to be. On a grand scale it's illustrated by the fact that "the right of the people peaceably to assemble" has been consigned to "free speech zones" by Federal Courts.

And you thought the 1st Amendment made the whole U.S. a free speech zone! It did. It's just that speech rights have been thoroughly perverted by historically common, self-interest only usurpers. Now it's necessary to obtain a 'permit' to exercise Constitutionally guaranteed free speech.

Arguably the most important of freedoms, critical speech rights are  now "lawfully" subservient to the whim of town/city councils and/or their hick/urban police departments - and it's rigorously enforced. This is pure, deconstructive south-end produce from a northbound horse and the awake ones know it. They know that a real, enslaving criminality is behind this subversion of free speech.

A lot of awakened souls are afraid these days. Among other things they're afraid because Halliburton's wild child, Kellogg Brown and Root, was contracted by the government to build hundreds of 'detainment facilities.'

During WWII these were known as "concentration camps" and they exist in the US today, right now. Most are fully staffed but are as yet unoccupied by inmates.

At this point a sheeple might justifiably bleat, "How is speech not free?" or "Just what is it you're doing right now, baaaa?"

If free speech zones aren't enough for you here's how it isn't free: Consider that individual high level whistle-blowers like Valerie Plame were personally destroyed, by Bush's White House no less, only usually with much less fanfare. Don't forget Pat Tillman either.

Remember him? He's the ex-NFL star who got a medal for dying in Afghanistan, victim of two bullets right between the eyes, fired at extremely close range. This is a "friendly fire" tragedy?

It's oh-so-quietly reported that a whistle-blower is exactly what Tillman intended to be. His seems quite a high price to pay for the essential, elementary intent of speaking out. And Tillman, poor sucker that he turned out to be, initially believed he was fighting on behalf of freedom.

Much closer to my Kalamazoo, Michigan home is a poor black reverend from Benton Harbor, a lion named Edward Pinkney. He successfully orchestrated a recall election that effectively ended a land grab fronted by a group apparently controlled by Whirlpool Corporation. Among other things they had their heart set on building a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course on Benton Harbor's Lake Michigan park land.

For his trouble Rev. Pinkney was imprisoned by Berrien County's courts-by-Kafka, for quoting the Bible. Yes, you read that correctly. Real estate development is currently proceeding apace on land given to Benton Harbor "in perpetuity" by an aggrieved father, in memory of his prematurely deceased daughter.

Facing trial twice by way of highly questionable charges under very racially charged circumstances with huge sums of money involved, Rev. Pinkney was convicted by an all-white jury (Benton Harbor is 90% black). This was after a racially mixed jury became hopelessly hung, resulting in mistrial.

Sentenced to probation, Pinkney was jailed after a rally on his behalf at the Benton Harbor Public Library drew a large, racially mixed crowd and TV cameras. The cameras were there for former Georgia Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney, who spoke on behalf of Reverend Pinkney and against the Whirlpool land grab.

So, where's the media in Pinkney's case?

Wait a second. Did you hear that? The last, hardiest sheeple remaining with us just bleated, "But there were cameras there in December! Baaaa." Good point for a sheeple but still way off the mark.

TV was there to exploit Cynthia McKinney's celebrity and history of controversy, hoping beyond hope to secure footage outrageous enough to add to her bad girl aura and maybe, gasp, even rate exposure on national network affiliates. TV 'news' didn't and doesn't give a damn about the legal system's mugging of Rev. Pinkney's 'rights,' freedom or his false conviction. And broadcasters are particularly studious about avoiding any mention of the out and out lawlessness surrounding the Whirlpool land grab. There's too much advertising revenue at stake.

In lieu of a currently-breaking disaster this is exactly what TV does: Instead of hard news it relentlessly feeds us celebrity, controversy and sensational crime, the vast bulk of which amounts to unbelievably banal brain bon bons. The 'serious' reporting does little more than intentionally foster fear. Because of this, the same thing has happened to essential liberties in this country as happens to humans who eat nothing but refined sugar; they inevitably wither and die.

If you're so fearful that critical perspective might undermine something as mighty as the US security establishment and should be hushed up, go consult the nearest mirror. There it is, right in front of you: Ovis aries-humanus.

Wave hello to the nice sheeple.

What are you afraid of? Might it be truth and an honest perspective? Or could it be the understanding that you, personally, have a responsibility as an American citizen to insist on having access to these essentials?

Hey, way to go little sheeple! Because of the scientifically engineered economic crisis that's upon us, a large portion of your diet is set to become grass, maybe soon.

All together now, baaaaa!

As well-expressed critical thinking strikes me as being more important than personality, generally speaking, posting my very own "public bio" seems a bit overmuch. With no driving compulsion for "selfies," Facebook, Twitter or any other social (more...)
