Today my 17-year old son had taken my 10-year old son's X-box. Last week he had severely beaten my 10-year old and had taken his television. I decided to handle this by offering to double my 17 year old son's spending allowance and to give him a state of the art 45 caliber semi-automatic pistol if he promises not to beat my 10 year old or to steal his property for 90 days and if he signs an agreement with my 10 year old concerning who owns what. Anyone who thinks this is a good way to handle an aggressive bully is crazy. It is merely rewarding bad behavior. Yet, that is exactly what Obama and the U.S. politicians are doing in the case of Israel and the Palestinians.
The Palestinians have been having their land, their property and their very lives taken from them ever since the United Nations allowed the Zionists to establish the Jewish state of Israel in 1948. And ever since then Israel has been expanding its borders by stealing from the Palestinians and by murdering them. Now, the Jewish state is blatantly going against the wishes of the world as well as of their biggest benefactor, the United States, by building homes for Jews on Palestinian land in the West Bank and in Palestinian East Jerusalem. Instead of taking meaningful action to stop this violent aggression as was done when Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, the United States and the world are doing nothing that will stop the continued aggression by Israel.
Obama has, however, decided to follow the example of the above case of a parent handling an out of control 17 year old bully. He has promised Israel that instead of just getting their measly hand-out of $3 BILLION U.S. tax-payer Federal Reserve Notes, he'll give them an additional $3 BILLION plus in the form of 20 F-35 stealth fighter jets. Plus, Obama promised Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu through his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the U.S. would fight against any United Nations efforts to oppose the aggressive and war-mongering actions and assaults by the Jewish state. Already the U.S. vetoes virtually any U.N. resolution that Israel is not happy with.
Obama is not an exception when it comes to blind subservience to Israel. U.S. politicians fear Israel and its powerful lobby headed by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. One good example is U.S. Senator-elect Marco Rubio of Florida. He won with support from the Tea Party. Within days of winning, Rubio did not make a tour of Florida in an effort to find problems that need to be corrected. Instead, he went to Israel! He's knows where the real power is.
Likewise, the future majority leader of the House of Representatives and the only Jewish Republican member of the House, Eric Cantor, had a meeting with Netanyahu before Netanyahu's meeting with Clinton and told him that he and his fellow war-mongering neoconservative Republicans would protect Israel from the Obama administration! Not only is this treasonous to favor a foreign nation, Israel, over your own nation, but it is not at all necessary even for Israel-firsters. Obama and Clinton and all of the Democratic Party are as pro-Israel as the Republicans. Remember when Howard Dean committed political suicide by saying the U.S. should have a balanced Middle East foreign policy? He was attacked by Pelosi and gang as much as he was attacked by the Republicans.
The only way to make progress in the Middle East is to stop favoring Israel over the Palestinians. And to get at the root of the problem we need to address the religious superstitions which poison the thinking of the Jews and the Muslims as well as the Christians.
The Jews claim the are chosen by God "above all people that are upon the face of the earth." (Deuteronomy 7:6) They also claim that God gave the ancient Hebrews/Jews the land of Israel with all of Jerusalem as its capital some 3,000 years ago. Israel is using this myth as grounds for stealing land from the Palestinians in Palestinian East Jerusalem as well as in the West Bank for Israel's aggressive expansion. These religious myths and superstitions are also promoted by Christians who buy into the Biblical lies. Christians such as Pat Robertson actually promote the idea of an Israel of Biblical proportions which would take all of the Palestinian lands as well as much of Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Of course, this type of ungodly thinking can only lead to terrible warfare and unending violence. The source of this deadly belief can be traced to the neoconservatives and their strong beliefs in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament.
When we read in the Koran at Surah 3:110 the same type of nonsense as found at Deuteronomy 7:6, only in the Surah it's Islamic superiority instead of Jewish superiority, we KNOW people must move beyond this ancient nonsense if there is to be true peace and real progress.
The antidote with the best chance of success in countering this rush toward Armageddon is Deism. Since Deism is belief in God based on reason and Nature instead of belief in God based on fear and superstition, Deism leads people to Nature's God, as America's Founders described God in the Declaration of Independence. Deism is packed full of potential for true natural progress. All it needs is the chance.
