Just when a lot of knee-jerk "the Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend" activists and pundits in the US and elsewhere were starting to believe their own delusions that Gaddafi really is their poster boy against evil American Imperialism after all, this had to happen to put yet another another crack in the Potemkin Village stage-set called Tripoli that masks the reality of life under Gaddafi, the self-proclaimed King of Kings of Africa:

She claimed loudly that troops had detained her a checkpoint, tied her up, abused her, then led her away to be gang raped.

"Look at what Gadhafi's militias did to me," al-Obeidi screamed with tears in her eyes, pulling up her coat to show blood on her upper leg in the restaurant.

After being intimidated by security men and hotel staff, who also beat journalists trying to interview her, she was eventually bundled into a car and driven away. (FULL ARTICLE CONTINUED HERE)
