President-elect Obama begins to make his cabinet picks known. Tom Daschle will make an excellent Secretary of HEW. Obama’s selection for Attorney General is someone unknown to me.
Unfortunately, Senator H. Clinton is well known to me and I believe she would make a poor cabinet selection for any position. In my opinion she should remain a Senator from New York or better yet, she should retire from politics altogether. She is, after all, a product of Chicago politics and has picked up some of the worst aspects of politics "Chicago" style. In my opinion she is power hungry and will do almost anything to gain and use power. This is not to say she is not a knowing, caring person, she is and is a hard worker, but her ambition takes the front seat whenever there is a conflict. Thus, I would warn the President-elect that while she may say the right things, she will do those things that will further her personal agenda. She believes that her way is the only way.
Again, please understand that this is my opinion, based on fifty years of political experience and observation.
