When I first joined this site, I was slightly in awe, and really grateful it existed (Still am, ty Rob). I was awed by the passionate knowledge of the diverse array of writers, even a little intimidated by the breadth and scope of their knowledge, and grateful to be part of it.
So I started reading to catch up. I started with The Creature From Jekyll Island, then Tragedy and Hope, The Coming Battle, and 40 volumes or so of pretty much everything pertaining to economics and politics I could get my hands on.
So I am sorry to say after obtaining this street version of a masters in economics, I have come to the concusion that the average progressive is not the noble creature I thought he was.
The average progressive is a naive, ignorant child.
The nobility of progressivism lies in it's fundamental goals of having a government that cares for it's citizens, particularly those less fortunate.
So someone please explain to me how this goal has any basis in reality of becoming possible as long as we live in what amounts to a feudalistic oligarchy run by bankers?
The government you so passionately wish would change and care for it's people is owned and operated by criminals. Today the criminal in charge tore the bill of rights to shreds with a stroke of his pen.
So a man comes a long, an imperfect man, but also a passionate one, who decides in the latter stages of his comfortable and successful life to make a final stand against our masters in debt slavery.
The last guy who tried this got a bullet in his head in Dallas.
FINALLY we acquire a man with the balls and the brains to tackle the monster, the same monster who's crimes agsinst humanity make progressivism necessary, and what do progressives do?
Unite with their fellow countrymen to stand with this man, this hero, and destroy the system which enslaves us all?
NO! They write hit pieces because his passion isn't identical to theirs. They fall prey to the masters simple strategy of divide and conquer using emotional issues. They act like a bunch of naive suckers.
You leave me in exasperated tears. For if we cannot get through to the people who ACTUALLY GIVE A DAMN about others, what chance do we have?
And you are missing such a sublime chance to destroy the republican party at the same time! Can you not see the media conspiracy against Ron Paul?
Every one of you should register republican, get Ron Paul the nomination, and then get him elected.
What happens then? We get to live in a country where the wealth isn't confiscated by organized criminal bankers and we actually then have a chance to fuel the progressive agenda, and take care of our country and our fellow man.
