The simple fact is that we have lost our democracy (if we ever had one to begin with). Sure, the government gives us an appearance of Democracy but the facts are that the people are excluded from any decisions! In this article I'm going to provide the reader with links to most of what I claim. This is what most readers and site owners now require. Unlike the mainstream media that throws opinion out when supposedly covering the "news", those in the alternative media now desire that their writers show proof of what they write. I'm hoping that in this way, alternative news will be a place where one can get real news that people can trust and not the kind of opinionated double speak that now dominates the mainstream media.

Like Bernie Sanders that said this in 2002, I have also been warning America since 2006 when I said:

Well, the dirty deed has been done. The Congress has been fully co-opted by corporate interests. Don't expect them to solve the problems that ordinary Americans face. Don't expect them to demand that those who caused this mess in our economy to pay back the taxpayer or to face any indictments for their malfeasance. Our government wants the taxpayers to continue to bear the brunt of Wall Street's debacle. That means even if it has to eliminate the Middle Class.
Don't expect to vote your way out of this. The Republicans are just as bad, if not worse. Every Federal elected representative is on the take. Yes, that includes Dennis Kucinich who voted FOR Obama care along with Bernie Sanders. Maybe the only one in Congress that is squeaky clean is Dr. Ron Paul. That still only leaves one out of 535. That's not a good percentage.
So what can Americans do about it? Well the only way I know is to demand "Regime Change". We do it in other nations that are sovereign states, even though this is clearly contrary to Chapter VII of the U.N. Charter:

We have violated that Chapter so often, if we weren't a member of The Security Council, with the power to veto any resolutions, I would venture to say that we would be under UN sanctions now for our actions since the end of World War II. Here in the United States the rhetoric coming out of Washington is that the nation is basically broke and must cut entitlements and benefits along with social programs. This is the height of hypocrisy. The facts are that the United States is still the richest nation on the planet. So where is all of our wealth going if the figures above are true? I can only look at the facts to answer this. In 2010 our military budget (without additional appropriations) was $687.105 Billion. The nation closest to the U.S. was China with $114,300 Billion, one sixth of what we spend. The third biggest spender was France with $61.285 billion. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_budget) That means France spent only one eleventh of what the United States spends. Doesn't that give you pause? It sure as hell makes me livid!
With all of that money spent to "keep us free", it really is a way to "keep us poor". Even the most rightwing person has to ask himself this question, if any country with a nuclear weapon and a missile system that could deliver it, what would happen if they sent three nuclear weapons to the United States and detonated them in the west, central and east, twenty five miles over this country? Because of the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) it would generate, the result would be the total elimination of our power grid, our automobiles and anything that held a computer chip in it. (including our missile silos).That would mean that the railroads and trucking would stop, all the planes would fall out of the air (3,000 is the average number of planes flying at any given time), and would result in the total break-up of this country, starvation, civil unrest in the form of looting, murder, and gang control. Where would the majority of our military be?
I have only mentioned some of the problems we face. The reality is that our lawmakers, our President and his staff (regardless of what Democrat or Republican that may be), are all controlled by the Military- -Industrial- Corporate Complex, not by the American voter. What happens at the Bilderberg Conference is what direction this country will take. This is not a "conspiracy theory", and if it is, than many, many people in the media are crazy. This is the heart of the MICC.
It is the duty of every American to uphold the Constitution and decide what form of government we desire. I'm sure that the founding fathers would not claim this nation if they saw what it has morphed into. We are fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya and now Yemen with numerous other minor military adventures. How much can the American people afford? The richest people in America that control this MICC will make fortunes from these wars, meanwhile the poorest of Americans will lose whatever wealth they have.
