All right, here is the Republican strategy to explain how their horrific governmental and economic policies are not bad--just their candidate.
The idea is to paint McCain as an inept boob. Then to explain his loss by claiming that if he would have run a better campaign, then he would have been President and the Republicans would be in power.
But folks, the fact that McCain will likely lose the election has not much to do with him and everything to do with Bush and the NeoCon agenda for 8 years. There are few people in this country that aren't spitting mad at what has been happening and even a bit scared. Most of them now hate George Bush and they are pissed off.
The Republicans can try to explain away the loss of the Presidency and the loss of even more Congressional seats as McCain's fault. But the real fault rests with the Republicans, and in truth the Democrats, because they allowed the Bush agenda to continue for 8 years without Congressional check.
We are reaping the results of that agenda and for that McCain will lose.
In a perfect world both parties would be thrown out of office, many CEOs would be arrested, Congressional hearings would be conducted, and Bush and Co. would be indicted for war crimes and crimes against the Constitution.
But unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world so we will get an Obama Presidency and some tweaking of a broken system. McCain will be used as a fall guy by the Republicans and they will do their best to continue promoting the neoCon strategy that has served this country so disastrously well. Bush and Cheney will leave office to enjoy their riches, and Bush will be praised as "the warrior President" that saved this country from the terrorists.
Propaganda sucks, doesn't it?
