Republicans on Crack, Democrats Forget their JobThere can be no doubt that we are ruled by fools. But, fools on crack are simply unacceptable.
That's
what we have. The Republican's aren't just difficult. They're not just
blinded by their principles. They're not just passionate to the point
of total unreason. They are all of these things plus they're on crack.

Crack: Crack produces a quick, very intense feeling of euphoria in a rush that lasts about ten minutes. The comedown is just as intense. There's a profound depression after the high. Frequent use is associated with loss of appetite, insomnia, and paranoia. Crack users are frequently more agitated than normal between usages. Crack is highly addictive.
The Republican's just shut down the government of the United States in the midst of a recession, at a time when the actions of both parties have made the nation the target of hostile nations and groups.
While they claim to be the party of business, the Republicans are staging the equivalent of a sit down strike that profoundly disrupts the business of the United States of America. There is not one thing that's businesslike about the shutdown.
The entire basis for their effort, the claim that the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare is unconstitutional is absurd. The very conservative Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the law is, in fact, constitutional.
They don't like it so they're going to make everyone suffer while they tantrum as a result of not getting their way.
They're an utter embarrassment and betray the trust of the people who put them in office. Most of them wouldn't think of engaging in this type of idiotic behavior.
The Democrats are simply not doing their job.
One of President Obama's first acts, even before inauguration, was the appointment of Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury. Geithner was president of the New York Federal Reserve Board, the entity that should have prevented the Wall Street meltdown.
There were more bailouts, assured by Geithner's influence, but no recognition that the real unemployment rate was over 20% when you add all the people up who can work but can't find jobs.
There was no recognition of the need to punish those on Wall Street who broke the law and thus caused the meltdown. The president's appointment as Attorney General came from a law practice that specialized in defending white-collar criminals.
The implementation of the president's Affordable Care Act was less important to the president than his intense desire to play an angry God by bombing Syria to advance the Al Qaeda dominated rebels destroying that country. The president failed to do much more than lift a finger to get his law implemented.
Nevertheless, the Republicans are worse because they resort to behaving like crack heads.
