Why so, you ask? Well, "CHANGE" is indeed coming!
For instance....I mean....hey, just consider the pigmentation, if nothing else.
And as for you Doubting Thomases who question the "trickle-down" proposition of the "recovery program" -- need proof? Hey, just check out the great financial news from the yacht builders and the luxury-resort industry. And hey, you haven't really noticed all that many foreclosure signs along Long Island Sound, now have you?
And as you should know, if you're down something like, say, $350 plus many, many zeroes, what a good riverboat man does is double-up, and just keep on doing that until something good might just happen or the house catches on, and then the worse that can happen is that your contract will ultimately lapse, and the folks you "rescued" will return the favor by contributing to your memorial library. Hey, what goes around, comes around!
And as for those who suggest that economic recovery should start at the base, i.e. re-structuring mortgages and that sort of liberal zealotry -- c'mon now, where's your knowledge of the laws of physics: do you really believe that anything could actually "trickle-up"?
And if you need yet more re-assurance that the fate of Amerika cannot be left to the leftists and welfare mothers, just take a peek at what their yellow press puts out. I mean like it's obvious that this unpatriotic criticism is unproductive, UnAmerikan, and does not Support-Our-Troops.
Can you believe it, next thing they'll be wanting us to admit that Iraq and Afghanistan were mistakes (when we knew exactly what we were doing) and then they'll be wanting to bring our troops home to their families, when -- Hell! -- we haven't even started on Iran, not to mention Syria, North Korea, Venezuela and all those other godless places, including the country of Africa.
And if there's any doubt at all, please consider that the Democrats now have their own president ( a change!) as well as the majority of both houses of Congress (a pre-change!) and have united with the Republicans (as they always have for our war) to support the "recovery" plan as well as to increase troop levels in Afghanistan in the war against....uh, well, you know....the forces of terrorism (sneaky buggers that they are, we don't even know their names or nationality!)
So, in summary, we all need to get behind the new president as he carries on the agenda of the old president, in common cause with the people's Congress -- the best government that money could buy!
Must sign off now -- I'm running late for the Sunday service at the Prince of Peace Church.
