Do you think Americans became a little sick after the recession hit the United States of America, or was it the putrid stench of the Bush administration that maimed and killed so many young Americans in the Iraq war? Has America finally gotten sick and tired of bloodying their hands murdering innocents, and causing so much death and destruction? Has America finally gotten sick and tired of what war does to other human beings, especially their own relatives? Has America finally gotten repulsed of what the real weapon of mass destruction did to its own people? Has the tragedy of what the Bush administration let happen in the Gulf, after hurricane Katrina begun to haunt this government? They ignored their own citizens, letting them die as the world watched, and as many became separated from their families.
Has America let discrimination reign far too long instead of freedom?
Has America finally become nauseous after looking at their own children, elderly and middle aged people out of work, hungry, devastated by this war, and sending their own jobs over seas? Have they finally started to regurgitate after becoming traumatized by watching families commit suicide, because they were depressed, jobless, becoming homeless, without medical insurance, without hope, and feeling guilty that they allowed the former government to lead them into a war, that slaughtered innocent people, who did no harm? Did the stench of this war finally make them sick? Do you think America is finally ashamed of its arrogance, which allowed this to happen?
Why wasn't this war stopped after it was discovered that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? The murders continued, and the body bags continued coming home as the blood flowed. Evidently that didn't make the Bush administration sick; they were without remorse, without heart, and their egos had too much invested. But when so many Americans people found out they were broke, the mood began to change. It took their lack of money to make a difference, and what a poor statement that is for the American people. The deaths of their own family members didn't do it, but the money changed the mood of this country. Money over human life is a sad statement for any country, especially one that is named The United States of America.
Let's not make excuses America; the Bush administration knew that there was no reason for a pre-emptive strike in Iraq. They knew that there was no reason for the destruction and mayhem. They knew that the people and the government of Iraq had done no harm. And Americans knew that this government had lied and cheated, but look who you cheated, and look who you murdered. This arrogant nation destroyed a people, and a nation, and allowed their own people to continue paying the price, so now we sit drowning in a terrible recession. It's the money that finally brought you to your senses, not the lives lost, not those that were murdered, not the destruction of a country, and not your loved ones who haunt you in your dreams. No, it was your money, your money that you held higher than God, and yes some of you worshiped your money, because you gave the dollar more value than your neighbors, your friends, your family or God.
America, it is time to pay for your ills, so blame it on yourself, blame it for being non charitable to your people here at home; you broke your own bank, and your hearts had no place for God.
Perhaps instead of showing the American flag-draped coffins, which became an eyesore, and that Americans didn't want to show their citizens or the world, perhaps they should have brought back open caskets, like the coffin of Emmett Till, so that families could really see how their loved ones looked, and how they suffered. Perhaps seeing the sheer ugliness, and the horror of what the Bush administration caused, would have stopped this war a long time ago. Perhaps the real ugliness and bitter truth of this war would have shocked this government so much, that they would have removed Bush from office. Perhaps now he would be on trial for those murders that he caused.
America hasn't seen the real tragedy because the truth has been covered up for far too long. Open up your eyes and see the way life is, and look at what America has done. Be honest America because now it really is about the almighty dollar and not your sons and daughters. It's always been about the green and how much you can buy; it was never about how much you can share, or how much you can give, and it was definitely not about how much you can love.
