Support S. 3335

By       (Page 1 of 1 pages)   No comments

The National Council has issued an action alert asking you to urge your Senator to support the Jobs, Energy, Families and Disaster Relief Act of 2008 [S3335]. The mental health and addiction parity compromise bill that was agreed to by the house and Senate is included in this bill which is expected to be considered on the Senate floor as early as tomorrow, July 29, 2008..

In June, the Senate failed to invoke cloture on a similar package by 7 votes. To keep that from happening again, please call your Senators and ask them to support S. 3335. It is essential that the Senate pass this package before the August recess so that the parity legislation can also pass the House and be signed into law by the President before Congress adjourns for the year in September.
